Originally from Ecuador, Ana is a student at the University of Kansas. In Ecuador, she graduated from high school and attended the International University of Ecuador to study medicine. Later, Ana found herself wanting to seek a better education and chose to attend the University of Kansas (KU) because of its location and academic reputation. She participated in the Academic Accelerator Program and thoroughly enjoyed her “excellent” experience. One of the best things about attending KU is that she feels reciprocity: she cares about the material and the professors care about her. Her advice for the younger generation is to explore the world and stay open to new experiences.
